This Standard covers crimp-style, metal insert fittings for use with SDR 9 PEX tubing in sizes NTS-3/8 to NTS-2, that complies with ASTM F876 and PE-RT tubing in sizes NPS-3/8 to NPS-1 1/4, that complies with and ASTM F2623 or ASTM F2769, and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
